The gallery
We are lucky enough to live in a spectacular part of the world. We're also fortunate to have an award winning photographer, Graham Dainty, who covers the overall event for us each year. Here are just a selection of photographs from around the course and over the weekend.
Zella Morrall, just after she'd broken the record, was heard saying "well I'd have been a bit quicker if I hadn't stopped to take a couple of photos... it was just so beautiful."
Running across the tops
The Alpine section is largely what separates the Kepler Challenge from other mountain races in New Zealand. Here is just a taster to whet your appetite.
Bush scenery
And then of course just as you're getting tired and breathless (from the scenery as well as the run!) you're into green be-jeweled forests...
And then there's the race...
The people, the place and the atmosphere. It's all about an exciting and friendly day.
