Entries for the FreshChoice Kepler Challenge open on the first Saturday in July every year (at 6.30am NZ time).    To enter the Kepler Challenge you will need set up an Eventplus account ahead of race entry day. Details of how to enter will be communicated on our website, Facebook and on our newsletters ahead of race entry day.

There is a training programme for newbies and links to useful trail running websites. Our partners Pure Sports Nutrition and Em’s Power Cookies provide good information on hydration and nutrition.

Wild Things are offering tailored training programmes to suit individual needs for a reasonable fee.

Once your entry has been confirmed you can order your breakfast, event T-shirt and/or reusable cup through our store by logging into your Kepler Challenge Entry Confirmation.

All pre-purchased items will be placed inside your race pack which you will be given when you register on the Friday before race day.

To withdraw from the race – Please email our race secretary (info@keplerchallenge.co.nz).  We are then able to action a withdrawal and whatever refund may be due to you.

Race entries are NOT transferable. The Kepler Challenge and Luxmore Grunt have limited fields so it would not be fair on those runners on the waitlist if we allowed places in the race to be transferred.

No. Skins do not have thermal heat retaining properties and CANNOT be accepted as part of the compulsory safety gear.

Seam sealed means that all seams have been taped and heat-sealed (or similar process) by the manufacturer.

Checkpoints have water, Pure Sports Nutrition hydration product, bananas, oranges, muesli bars and lollies. First aid equipment and radio communications are available at every checkpoint in the event of any emergency. The course map shows the locations of the checkpoints as well as toilets.

Photos will be available 24 hours after the event through Photos4Sale. All runners will receive an email letting you know how you can buy your event photos. More info on the Runner Photos page.
