For only the third time in the 32 year history of the Kepler Challenge, the race course for the 2019 event has been changed.
This decision was made by the Kepler Challenge Safety team who met this evening.
It is not a decision that has been made lightly.
The Fiordland Trails Trust are running an inaugural half marathon this year on the 24th of August. For details about entering this event - see their site - https://event.fiordlandtrails.nz
This year Te Anau's own Dwight Grieve had the opportunity to compete in the World Champs.

This year, after repeated requests for people to be able to purchase our volunteers shirts. We have produced a great quality cotton T Shirt that is specifically for the support crew.

Our first 15 participants in this years race entered as part of the annual Charity Challenge.

With a capacity field in both the FreshChoice Kepler Challenge (60km) and FreshChoice Luxmore Grunt (28km), competitors lined up for an early start to take on this iconic community race - the 30th anniversary event.
It was a 6am start for the 60km ultra runners making their pilgrimage around the Kepler Track. A 7am starters gun followed for the “Grunt” runners.
