Haere mai ki Te Anau and the Kepler Challenge!

Important Registration Information
All runners must register for their chosen event on Friday between 12.00 noon and 6.00pm at the Real NZ Event Centre.
Bring your compulsory gear to registration to be checked – without it our race officials won’t be able to give you your race number and race pack.
Check out the gear sale at the registration venue – our partners will be offering good deals on a wide range of kit.
Compulsory Briefing
All runners must attend the race briefing on Friday evening.
This may be done via video and we need proof that you have watched this prior to your registering.
Details of current track conditions will be provided along with an update on the weather forecast for race day.
Race Day
The BIG day has arrived! This is why you’ve been training for the past few months. Don’t be late for your Challenge:
Kepler Challenge – arrive at the Control Gates from 5.15am with a race start time of 6.00am.
Luxmore Grunt – arrive at the Control Gates from 6.15am with a race start time of 7.00am.
Getting to the start line
Months of training is only part of getting to the start line!
By car: on race day you can get yourself to the start line by car (officials will be on hand to help with parking). Your race pack will include a map of the start/finish line area. But if you’re one of those people who like to know where they are going well before they get there click here to visit a Google map for the Control Gates.
By bus: alternatively you can get to the start line on our FREE SHUTTLE BUS. For the Kepler Challenge and Luxmore Grunt the bus leaves Te Anau from the following pick-up locations:

Please wait at the roadside for the bus.
Shuttle buses: throughout the day an on-demand shuttle bus will be running between the start/finish line and Te Anau. Look out for the bus at the finish line. If you can’t see it just ask one of the race officials wearing bright orange vests!
Post event activities
Celebrate: after the race why not head along to the Moose Bar on the Te Anau Lake front for the unofficial post-race party. Runners, look out for the voucher in your pack and enjoy a free drink on the house!
Event Breakfast: join us for a slap-up breakfast on the Sunday morning at the Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas from 8.00am – you’ve earned it! Visit our shop to buy your breakfast vouchers or purchase them at registration.
Prize giving: the final event of the weekend, come along to the Real Journeys Event Centre at 10.00am to celebrate the winners of the 2024 Freshchoice Kepler Challenge and Luxmore Grunt. Who knows you might even win a spot prize – but don’t forget to bring your race number!
