Event Details
The FreshChoice Kepler Challenge and Luxmore Grunt take place on the first Saturday of December every year. Here are some key dates for our upcoming event. A FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE will run from the Te Anau township to the Control Gates on race day, for more information click here.

Entry Fees
The entry fee for our events are as follows:

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Please note that a 5% fee will be charged for credit card payments (this is not refundable). Payments made via internet banking do not incur a 5% fee.
Your entry fee includes:
- Race pack with goodies
- Personalised race bib
- Transponder for the duration of the event
- Checkpoint support (water, Pure Sports Nutrition : Electrolyte Hydration, bananas, oranges, Clif Bars, lollies)
- Medical support and assistance around the course
- Finisher’s medal
- Timing Results
- Category winners prizes
- Eligibility for spot prizes
- Knowing that a whole TOWN is supporting you during the event and that any profits from the event are distributed to local community groups!
Optional items
T-shirts, breakfast vouchers and reusable cups can be purchased through our on-line entry system. If you purchase any of these items they will be put into your race pack for you to collect when you register for your chosen event.

Withdrawals and refunds
Should you need to withdraw from the Kepler Challenge or Luxmore Grunt before the event, the following refund policy will apply:

From 1 October to 15 days prior to event day | Entry fee less 75% cancellation fee |
1-14 days prior to event day | No refund |
On or after event day | No refund |
Refunds are calculated on race entry fees and do not include any additional items you may have ordered.
For any questions or to withdraw from your chosen event, please email our Race Secretary at info@keplerchallenge.co.nz. Any refunds due will be credited to the card you used to pay your entry fee (minus the appropriate cancellation fee).
Event Cancellation
In the event of extreme weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control, the Organising Committee reserves the right to substitute an alternative run of a similar distance. In this case, entry fees will not be refunded. If the event is cancelled entirely, the Organising Committee will make the maximum refund possible to competitors.
